FROM JB:
It is Sunday morning and because I couldn't get to church (stop laughing -- it could happen) I visited Le Monastere des Augustines. This hospital-turned-hotel is rich with heritage in Old Quebec. This is the oldest hospital (still attached to the hotel) in North America -- north of Mexico. I'm not sure why they don't just say in Canada and the U.S., but nevertheless there is a lot of history here.
I heard the story of the Augustinian sisters and their lives dating back hundreds of years.
FROM JB:
After a tour of the hotel (and its slanted stairs), church and some gathering rooms where people can have seminars or even do yoga, I dined with my tour guide Genevieve.
In the restaurant we had soup, salads and fish. The coconut dessert was also pretty tasty.
