Delicious dishes, great company
FROM JB:
Getting the chance to experience even more great food in Quebec I had lunch with Ingrid Lemm from Auberge Saint-Antoine. We dined at the wonderful Panache restaurant. With a menu constantly changing you certainly do need to visit frequently.
During my lunch stop I had hazelnut squash soup with a nice glass of wine. And then I enjoyed the trout with cabbage. Oh yeah, that also came with a glass of wine. Yum, yum, yum. I should slow down on the booze since we have a full day ahead of us!
The views are remarkable and the history of the building is amazing.

Sky Blah... er, Spa
FROM JB:
Everything about Quebec has been incredible. But I have to say, my visit to Sky Spa was pretty disappointing. Anytime I mentioned the name of this place, locals have been jealous I get to have a massage and check out the spa. I'll admit, after a few days of travel, I was looking forward to a relaxing massage.
Upon arrival I signed the consent/release form noting I wouldn't use my cellphone and blah, blah, blah. It also had me agree that I wouldn't participate in sexual activity. Keep that point in mind because it comes into play shortly.
The staff was very welcoming and wanted to make sure I had a pleasant visit. I changed into my robe, filled up my complimentary water bottle and headed to the rooftop hot tub. It was awkward because I stepped out and noticed a female straddling a male and the two were making out. I felt like I was interrupting but at the same time we were in a public place and I shouldn't have been made to feel uncomfortable. With the sun setting you naturally want to look around and enjoy the skyline however I kept averting my eyes so I didn't bother the randy couple.
Taking a break from the outdoor sleeze, I went in for my massage appointment. Only a few minutes later, construction outside the room included jackhammering and drilling. It was far from a relaxing massage with the attendant telling me twice to relax. Thinking we'd be safe from the noise, we went across the spa to another room but the noise was louder there. Sure, they added an extra 30 minutes to my treatment but I actually wanted to run out of there as fast as I could.
The positive: staff was great and the food was excellent. I had the spicy chicken panini and it was delicious.
Would I go back? Maybe once construction was complete but the place should be avoided until everything is done -- and I'm not talking about the tramps in the hot tub. Stay away if you are looking to relax in quiet! Do check it out if you like a peep show.
